Abstract: Parkinson’ s Disease ( PD) is a neurodegenerative disease, mainly manifested by motor symptoms such as resting tremor, muscle rigidity, bradykinesia and postural instability, accompanied by mental and cognitive disorders and autonomic dysfunction and other non-motor symptoms. The degeneration and death of dopamine (DA) neurons in the substantia nigra is the main feature of PD , and its pathological sign is the formation of Lewy bodies. People have established a variety of animal models to study different aspects of PD. Disease models can be used base on neurotoxin or gene method in non-human primates ( NHP ) , rodents, zebrafish, C. elegans, drosophila and other animals, the models prepared are to simulate the pathological changes of PD, and have their own advantages and limitations. At present, the PD model induced by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1, 2, 3, 6- tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) is more and more widely used in medical research.
